Automated Control Line Clamping
Our patent-pending Control Line Clamping System is in development.
The control line handling system with guide arm and banana sheaves are now in operation offshore Clamp prototypes have been tested for regulation compliance and are in development.
The pictures are from the workshop testing. A more compact skid-based solution for use on drillfloor is also under development.
The automated system has the following benefits:
- No personnel in red zone on drill floor
- Quicker installation of clamp saves valuable rig time.
- No pre-installed equipment on the production tubing
- Simple and sturdy design suited for automation
- Complies with Equinor TR-2385 “Well Completion Equipment”.

Control Line Spoolers
Our range of Compact Control Line Spoolers are exceptionally sturdy and built on years of operations. The design has been verified in minute detail in close cooperation with the operators to make sure all details are well designed and built. The result has been years of trouble-free operation.
We have two standard models:
CCLS-S:
- Maximum drum diameter: 1300 mm
- Maximum drum weight: 3300 kg
- Drum width: 1060 mm
CCLS-L:
- Maximum drum diameter: 1835 mm
- Maximum drum weight: 7500 kg
- Drum width: 1500 mm
Both types can be equipped with a remote operated spooling device positioned on top of the spoolers to improve spooling onto drums when pulling out control lines.
