Well Intervention

Stavanger Engineering has in-depth knowledge about topside well intervention equipment for both wireline and coiled tubing operations. Typical equipment includes CT jacking frames for fixed platforms and semi-submersible rigs, CT reels and injector systems.

Jacking Frame

Our Jacking Frames are designed for optimum productivity and safety in a simple and cost efficient package. The injector head platform can be skidded sideways to gain full access to the wellbore. The compact size when folded means it can be easily transported by sea (DNV 2.7-1) and road.

The CTJF has a simple and sturdy design, ensuring a long lasting machine with low maintenance.

Coiled Tubing Lift Frame and Wireline Lift Frame

Our lift frame have been developed by engineers with 30+ years of experience in designing tension frame and experienced offshore personnel with hands-on experience from coiled tubing operations. The solutions are advanced, yet simple and robust to withstand a rough environment. We can offer a range from simple and cost-effective to advanced systems with handling arms and radio-remote control.

The patent pending Advanced Tension Intervention System (ATIS) increases rig up efficiency compared to traditional coiled tubing tension frames, saving 4 – 6 hours of rig-up time for each operation

The rig up stand allows most rig-up operations to be done before entering well center. This is achieved without using man-riders and rig-time, increasing the safety and significantly reducing the cost. It is possible to perform wireline operations while preparing the CT equipment in the rig up stand.

Rig-up Frames with high-risk application lifting

Our rig-up frames are used to increase effective lubricator length for wireline operation on fixed platform. The frames are running on wheels or tracks and are used to remove hatch on hatch-deck. The rig-up frames typically have 3 winches that are used for rigging up wireline equipment.

Two of the winches are designed to be synchronized according to the requirements to high-risk application lift in NORSOK R-002, enabling lifting above equipment with hydrocarbons under pressure.

All equipment can be built according to European ATEX, North American IECex and Canadian CSA Ex. zone 1 and 2.

Dual Safety Wireline Mast

The Dual Safety Wireline Mast [DSM] builds upon the design of a traditional wireline mast, with the addition of features to enable lifting according to NORSOK R-002, Annex K, high risk application. The high-risk application lift technology uses the same simple, reliable, and proven winch solution used in our Rig-Up-Frame [RUF].

The mast is also equipped with a self-locking securing device to secure and move the lubricator.

The design objectives for the DSM are simplicity, low weight, and reasonable cost, combined with a sufficiently high specification to be used on most wireline jobs on the NCS.
