Our Autonomous Mobile Robot transports materials and equipment on pallets between defined locations on vessels, offshore installations and outdoor industrial sites. It navigates safely around people and equipment and can interact with lifts, gates, gangways and existing operational systems.
Technology
Autonomous mobility for demanding outdoor and marine environments
Our Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) is engineered for reliable operation in harsh outdoor and marine environments, including challenging conditions where conventional autonomous platforms will struggle.
App designed for seamless integration
The AMR incorporates proven hardware and software for integration with surrounding equipment and machinery. This enables interaction with lifts, gates, gangways and other systems that may form part of the AMR’s operating environment. We adapt to your system and application.
The easy-to-use app can be adapted to individual applications and integrated into existing operational workflows, providing a flexible foundation for autonomous material handling. The AMR can be tied into your ERP system allowing your workflow to control the robot.
Built for corrosive environments
The AMR is constructed with a robust stainless-steel structure, with components selected and designed for operation in highly corrosive, saline environments.
Its mechanical, electrical and sensing systems are configured to withstand demanding outdoor conditions, including exposure to rain, snow, moisture and changing weather conditions.
Proven navigation technology
Navigation is based on proven sensors, hardware and software technologies, configured and adapted to the requirements of each application. The system uses SLAM navigation to operate safely around people and equipment.
This approach provides a flexible platform that can be tailored to different industrial, marine and outdoor applications.
Wireless charging
The AMRs are delivered with a powerful wireless charging station designed for efficient, reliable charging. The charging station securely locks the AMR in position, providing both a stable charging interface and an integrated seafastening solution for vessel operations. The charging station is built for outdoor use.
Applications
Proven in real-world marine operations
The AMR has undergone extensive testing in a real-world marine environment aboard a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) supporting offshore wind operations. Testing has demonstrated excellent performance in demanding operating conditions, including:
- Precise and safe navigation in tight spaces
- Reliable driving over obstacles and uneven surfaces
- Stable operation in rain and light snow conditions
- Autonomous operation in a continuously moving environment
- Safe and reliable interaction with vessel or building infrastructure
The AMR has been tested in connection with lifts and heave compensated gangways, including autonomous movement across a gangway while both the vessel and gangway are in motion.
Ready for harsh-environment autonomy
Through extensive real-world testing and continuous development, Staveng Robotics has developed an AMR platform capable of tackling the challenges of demanding marine and outdoor environments.
From offshore wind vessels to industrial sites and other harsh environments, the platform is designed to bring reliable autonomous mobility where conventional solutions cannot.
Maintenance & support
The AMR is designed to minimize maintenance requirements and maximize uptime. When inspection or maintenance is required, an integrated in-app maintenance log provides a clear overview of service activities and helps ensure that essential checks are completed.
For remote locations and offshore operations, your personnel can be trained to perform basic maintenance and repairs using detailed, step-by-step instructions, movies and interactive 3D models available directly in the app.
The AMR maintains an online connection with Staveng Robotics, enabling remote technical support, diagnostics and software updates. The AMR has a system for seamless remote recovery using a low-latency 5G connection. These systems help reduce downtime and ensure the system remains up to date throughout its operational life.
